Associate Professor of Applied Physics and Photon Science

Professor Reis’ group performs experimental research on light-matter interactions with an emphasis on ultrafast and strong-field phenomena in condensed matter. Particular interests include time-domain x-ray scattering from coherent and squeezed phonons, solid-state high-harmonic generation and nonlinear x-ray optics.
Research Areas: ultrafast optics, x-ray scattering, strong-field physics
