Professor Kazovsky’s group performs research on optical networks with emphasis on metro and access applications. Particular areas of interest are passive optical network designs that allow graceful evolution to future use of wavelength division multiplexing, integration of optical networks with wireless networks, interfacing access networks with metro networks, wavelength division multiplexing technologies, packet-switched photonics, and ultra-broadband optical amplifiers.
